The Sphericam 2 has surpassed its Kickstarter funding goal and plans to go into production. Demand seems to be strong—the company surpassed its original $150,000 goal by nearly $300,000.

The Sphericam 2 is a 4K 360-degree video camera built to outlast. Jeffrey Martin, the brand’s founder, created the unique video camera to eliminate blind spots, uneven stitching, and mismatched white balance.

Around the size of a tennis ball, Sphericam 2 has WiFi and streaming capabilities built in so users can easily edit, transfer, and view videos on their device of choice.

Additional features include 4K resolution video capture, super-low parallax between sensors, native resolution for the Oculus Rift, a fully synchronized lens, and real-time stitching. Videographers can also shoot in RAW and capture up to 60fps.

Built from anodized aluminum with a 68mm diameter, four built-in microphones and cameras, and a 2800 mAh battery, the Sphericam is both advanced and durable for the best in video performance.

Pricing starts at $1,399 with additional costs to add mounting options. Customers can also opt for the gold-plated Sphericam 2 for $10,000.
