People don’t usually move to New York City for a lower cost of living. The city’s most expensive apartment is proving this true at $500,000 a month. Located on the 39th floor of the Pierre Hotel off 61st Street, the 5,000-square-foot full-floor rental has stunning views of the George Washington Bridge, Central Park and the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir.

Renting at nearly double the second most expensive apartment in the city, the pricy pad has six bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms. The price includes the sprawling 1,850-square-foot Tata Presidential Suite complete with two bedrooms and baths, an expansive living room, a dining room seating eight and a pantry kitchen. The suite has rented on its own for nearly $30,000 a night.

In case renters get hungry at night, the Pierre Hotel is home to two restaurants, the Sirio Ristorante and Two E Bar/Lounge. The lush apartment also comes with access to a chauffeur-driven Jaguar, private elevator and personal butler. Twice daily housekeeping and 24-hour room service are also available. Although stacked with amenities, high-speed WiFi is not included. So on top of the $500k rent, residents will have to spring for $12.95-per-day Internet services.
