Actor Marlon Brando’s first Los Angeles mansion is on the market for $3.495 million. The private estate was built in 1938 by architect Paul Williams and has six bedrooms and five bathrooms. With 5,000 square feet, the Hollywood Hills home features a sports court, chef’s kitchen, private pool, and bamboo forest.

The home has an interesting history and was once owned by Kung Fu actor and martial artist David Carradine, who bought the home with Barbara Hershey. It also served as a yoga center and became known as the LA Yoga IYI commune from 1968 to 1969. Members of the yoga center included such stars as James Taylor, Carole King, Stay Keach, Joan Baez, and Tina Louise. Musician Frank Zappa also called the mansion home at one point.

The estate is currently owned by Jack Baumann, who served as Chief Legal for Public Storage Corp.

Set on more than two-thirds of an acre, the historic celebrity home has two guest suites and a backyard designed for entertainment.
