The BMW i8 plug-in hybrid has gotten a bit of a makeover thanks to the folks at AC Schnitzer.
The biggest changes come via a body kit that includes a carbon fiber front spoiler, rear wing, and side skirts. The car has also been slightly lowered and features 21 ACI forged-alloy wheels which, according to AC Schnitzer, are 30 percent lighter that what comes stock to help offset some of the weight added by the body kit.
AC Schnitzer has left the BMW i8’s plug-in hybrid electric motor and 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine untouched, so it pumps out the same 357 HP that propel the car from 0 to 60 MPH in just 4.2 seconds.
The interior of the car has also remained relatively unchanged with a few exceptions. The car now has aluminum pedals and velour floor mats.
