Flyte is a wireless light that floats in the air.

It utilizes magnets to achieve levitation. The base of the light is electromagnetic and reacts with the bottom of the bulb to cause it to levitate.

The base is crafted from either oak, ash, or walnut by artisans in Sweden. Simply touching the base turns the light on and off. When the bulb is removed the base can act as a charger for a smartphone or be plugged in to charge.

Flyte is currently in the midst of a Kickstarter campaign to get the project off the ground. It has raised more than twice its $80,000 goal. A pledge of $199 ensures  you will be one of the first to receive a Flyte.
