The most expensive home in the state of Georgia is listed for $48 million. Located in Atlanta, it comes with a lot more than just massive square footage and large swaths of land. The seller is throwing in something that may attract art lovers.

“No one needs a piece of art,” Debbie Sonenshine, the agent handling the sale, said. “but if it speaks to you, you find a way to justify the purchase.”

Chestnut Hall is a limestone and brick mansion. Inside its walls, it houses works of art from the likes of Picasso and Toulouse-Lautrec.

The 18,000-square-foot home could be considered a work of art itself with its Jerusalem stone floors, mahogany windows, and Venetian plaster walls.

“People who see the home are amazed. They feel as if they’ve been transported to Europe,” Sonenshine said. “The pictures of the home are beautiful, but they make it feel formal. Once people actually set foot in the house, they see how they could really live there.”

The home sits on 18 acres made up mostly of private gardens.
