Rumor has it Bentley is working on a lighter and even more powerful version of the Bentley Continental GT3-R.

The Bentley Continental GT3-R is among the best sports cars on the planet, churning out 572-horsepower, so what does an upgraded version of that look like?

It is reported that Bentley originally intended to make the current GT3 rear-wheel drive, but due to time constraints had to scrap those plans. This new version of the Continental GT3-R will be a rear wheel drive and will receive other upgrades.

Bentley reportedly plans to completely focus on performance, ditching some of the car’s luxury features to cut the weight down by 440 pounds. The vehicle is expected to use the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 as the GT3-R.

Bentley has not made any official announcements, though it is believed that this new vehicle will be limited to even fewer units than the current GT3-R, which was limited to 300 cars.
