Debuting at the upcoming 2015 Detroit Motor Show, the 2016 Audi Q7 looks like it is going to be a complete upgrade form the SUV’s past versions.

Under the hood, the Q7 will have two different V6-engine options. The 3.0-liter TDI turbodiesel will churn out 272 ponies and 442 pound-feet of torque that will propel it from zero to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds. Despite the power and the fact that it is an SUV, it will still give drivers 41 miles per gallon of gas.

The second option, a 3.0-liter TFSI, pumps out 333 horsepower and 324 pound-feet of torque. It will go 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds and give drivers 30 mpg.

Both engines will have an eight-speed tiptronic transmission and all-wheel drive.

The SUV sheds 716 pounds without sacrificing its spacious interior thanks to the use of aluminum casting. The headlights of the Q7 have joined the latest car trends by going LED.

Pricing information and a more detailed spec sheet are expected to be revealed at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show in January.

Rumor has it that a hybrid version of the Q7 will be added to the line up later in 2015.
