Griffin Technology and Rail Yard Studios have created a tablet stand made out of old train rails.

“We know consumers are looking for unique and interesting gifts for the tech lover in their lives so we partnered with Rail Yard Studios to offer hand-made pieces they can’t find anywhere else,” Scott Naylor, VP of Product Development at Griffin Technology, said. “These rare tablet stands are American-made and the perfect way to preserve a piece of history in the digital age.”

The stands are handcrafted out of reclaimed rail stock and railroad spikes that were forged from steel. Each stand consists of two railroad spikes welded together to a flat plate also salvaged from train rail parts.

Stands are made for both full size and small tablets. Considering the ruggedness of the stands, Griffin also offers free protective cases with each purchase.

The tablet stands start at $130.
