The Rye House in Bantam, Conn. is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and now has a famous new owner in television anchor Anderson Cooper.

The 10,127-square-foot home, built in 1908, is a three-story house that sits on 48.9 acres of land. On that land you will find beautiful Japanese gardens and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

The mansion that sits on the property has 10 bedrooms and seven bathrooms, offering plenty of space for Cooper and any guests he may have over.

Cooper reportedly makes $11 million a year working for CNN and bought the Rye House for $2.59 million from television actress Karen Shaw.
