Ducati recently pulled the covers off the new Monster 821. The Monster was first conceived over 20 years ago, and Ducati has sold over 290,000 units since then. This mid-sized bike is a third generation addition to the Bologna-built motorcycles.
The Monster 821 maintains much of the same design concepts as the Monster 1200, but it is not all old school. It is integrated with Ducat’s latest technological specs.
It is powered by Ducati’s 821 Testastretta 11 Degree engine, which pumps out 112 ponies and 65.9 feet-pounds of torque. The bike is also surprisingly lightweight, weighing around 395 pounds.
Pricing details have yet to be announced. The Ducati Monster 821 will hit showrooms sometime in July.
