Hennessey Venom GT has been making waves by breaking a lot of records and to commemorate the world’s fastest car, the automaker has created three Venom GT cars to put up for sale.
“We’re thrilled about what we achieved at Cape Canaveral with the Venom GT and now the World’s Fastest Edition is a living, breathing celebration of that record achievement,” John Hennessey, company founder, said.
The Hennessey Venom GT holds the Guinness World Record as the “World’s Quickest Hypercar.” It will go 0-186 mph in just 13.63 seconds.
In addition, back in March, the Venom GT got a verified top speed of 270.4 mph confirmed by a Satellite-assisted VBOX at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.
To celebrate these accomplishments three units of the Venom GT dubbed The World’s Fastest Edition were made.
This very-limited edition has a white body with red and blue stripes that serve as a symbol to the hypercar’s status.
“The Venom GT is America’s supercar, and it broke 270 mph on the same runway where the Space Shuttle landed at the Kennedy Space Center,” Hennessey said. “We wanted to offer a special paint scheme that would incorporate the colors of the American flag. Thus, our special livery package includes a body in white with red-and-blue stripes.”
The Venom GT is constructed with lightweight aluminum, carbon-fiber, and featherweight carbon-ceramic brakes and is powered by a twin-turbo 7.0-liter V-8 engine that puts out 1,244 ponies. Its power combined with its lightweight is what pushes this vehicle to record speed.
Only three Venom GT World’s Fastest Editions were produced and each quickly sold for $1.25 million a piece, so if you were looking to pick up one of these supercars, you are out of luck, as they are already sold out.
