The Mingus aluminum lampshades were designed by Copenhagen-based designer Cecilie Manz for Danish brand Lightyears.  The lampshades display softly angled edges that propose a minimalist design.

The Mingus is named after jazz legend Charles Mingus.  They feature low-energy light bulbs.  The pendant lamps come in two sizes and in six shades of light colors including white, nearly black, very grey, pale moss, light celadon and dusty limestone. They hang from either a white or grey textile cord.  The price for these lamps start out at around $292.oo.  The Mingus lampshades can be bought at Folklore, a north London store.  You can also order them online.
