The TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 1887 Jack Heuer Edition watch is a special edition created to celebrate 50 years of the Carrera model. The watch’s most prominent feature is the oddly shaped case, with the chronograph pushers and the crown positioned at the top. The case has an asymmetric shape which elevates the top, allowing the wearer to read the time without having to twist his wrist.
The watch is made from a combination of stainless steel (for the base) and titanium with black carbide coating (for the top). The watch is over 1.5 inches wide and unconventionally tall. Inside the case there is an in-house Calibre 1887 movement, which has been positioned differently than usual to match the bullhead shape of the case.
