The Cartier Crash Skeleton, a uniquely designed timepiece, was revealed to the public for the first time at the 2015 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie.

The Cartier Crash Skeleton is essentially a remake of Cartier’s iconic 1967 watch by the same name. It features the same quirky, Dali-esque design base as its predecessor: A curvy, asymmetrical platinum case.

The brand had to get creative in order to fit the movement in the unique case. The exposed caliber system has a completely original layout that maximizes space. The dial also reveals the inner workings of the watch.

Bridges finished in satin make up the roman numerals, while the hands are crafted from blued steel and the crown from cabochon sapphire.

The watch will be a limited series with just 67 unites being made. It is priced at $82,500, though an alternate version with a paved case is available for $150,000.
